Scope of the processing of personal data

We only process our users' personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of our users' personal data regularly takes place only with the user's consent. An exception applies in cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and the processing of the data is required by law.

5Provision of the website and creation of log files

Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data is collected: information about the browser type and version used, the operating system, the IP address of the user, date and time of access, websites from which the user's system accesses our website, and websites that are accessed by the user's system via our website.

Temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to the user's computer and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Our website uses cookies in order to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. If you contact us via the contact form, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored for the purpose of processing the contact. We operate corporate presences on social networks such as YouTube in order to communicate with (potential) customers and provide information about our company. If you perform an action on our company pages (e.g. comments, posts, likes), you may make personal data public. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

12Use of company presences in professional networks

We maintain company presences on professional networks such as LinkedIn for purposes of recruiting, information and communication. The legal basis for data processing in connection with these presences is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, and for application processes Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR and § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG.

13Hosting

Our website is provided via cloud hosting and content delivery infrastructure commissioned by us, in particular:

• Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA — website hosting, edge delivery and related platform services (including Vercel Web Analytics where consented).
• Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL / Amazon Web Services, Inc. — underlying cloud infrastructure used in connection with hosting and delivery of our website and related services.

The servers and edge locations may automatically collect and store information in so-called server log files, such as browser type, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of the server request and IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (secure, efficient provision of the website). Where these providers process personal data outside the EU/EEA, the safeguards described under "Third-country transfers" apply.

14Third-Country Transfers

Some of the service providers we use are established in, or may process personal data in, countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area ("third countries"), in particular the United States. This may apply, for example, to Google LLC and affiliated Google services, Meta Platforms, Inc., Salesforce, Inc., Vercel Inc., Amazon Web Services, Inc., PostHog, Inc., and Canva Pty Ltd (and their subprocessors).

Where we transfer personal data to a third country, we ensure an adequate level of protection in accordance with Arts. 44 et seq. GDPR. Depending on the recipient, this is based in particular on:

• An adequacy decision of the European Commission (including, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified US organisations)
• Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR, together with any supplementary measures required
• Your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, where the relevant processing (e.g. analytics or marketing tags) is based on consent
